Reality Bites

Memorial Day this year has a whole new meaning.

It's weird to see his name on a head stone. When I read "Bruce A Marietti," reality sets in that he is really gone from this earthly existence.

Lots of people brought flowers to his grave. Thank you.

I miss you every day Dad!

Marathon Madness

Jason ran his first marathon on Saturday. He paced well and crossed the 13 mile marker in 1 hour 56 minutes. Unfortunately, at mile 15, his calves cramped up and ruined the rest of the race for him. It took him another 3 1/2 hours to finish the last 11 miles because his legs kept cramping up! He hated it! When he was finished, I asked how he felt: "Like death!" Enough said.
Cayden showed his support, and walked the last 3 miles with Jason! Sweet Boy!
Their facial expressions are exactly the same! Wow!
Alan, Bryon, Taylor, and Cayden all ran the 5K.

Taylor crossed the finish line at 26:20.38! He took 9th place is his age bracket.

Cayden crossed the finish line in 23:38.89! He took 1st place in his age bracket and received an awesome plaque!
Bryon isn't looking too happy about being at the finish line.
I think he wishes he was still running! He came in between Cayden and Taylor,
but I'm not sure what his exact time was. FAST is all I know.
Alan and Taylor finished within seconds of each other. Way to go!
I am so proud of all of my boys! Great Job!

perfect 10

Jason got his Camaro on Friday. I made him pose with it for the pic. Notice he isn't touching it with his hand? He didn't want to get fingerprints on it! He grinned from ear to ear. He's been on a waiting list for three years for this car.

Being the big sweetie that he is, he let me drive it home from the car lot before he had even driven it. Does he love me or what!

things in the past and things to come

Hannah had her recital on Monday night. I posted the video of the dance below. She did pretty well considering she sprained her ankle at my Mom's house the night before.

Piggy-back from Daddy. No better transportation. Do you like the blue eye shadow? It's HOT!
This is a sneak peak of Jason's 2010 Camaro. It came in on Monday. He also had a 1969 Camaro restored and it should be ready in the next few weeks. They will match eachother. He is REALLY excited about it.

The "BIG" reveal for the 2010 is at John Watson Chevrolet on Friday at 5:00. Until then, I was forbidden to post a pic of the entire car...
Only sneak peaks of the boys livin' it up!
I'm SO GLAD that they can't drive yet! Yikes!

CAUTION!
Video is 2:43 long. Hannah is the forth one from the left on the front row.

Running In The Rain

On Saturday, we ran, as a family, in the rain, a 5K hosted by Smith's in support of Primary Children's Hospital. As soon as she called out, "Runner's take your mark!" it started to rain. It's not fun to run in the rain.

This was Alan's first 5k! He beat me! Enough said! :)
Hannah backed out of running last minute. I agreed to let her because I knew it would be a LONG three miles for me if she did come.

We all survived and are scheduled to run in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K this Saturday in SLC. Pray for sunshine!
